The Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules (JLCAR) approved the Department of Education’s proposed Ed 315 rules regarding home education at their August 17, 2023 meeting. The department revised them to conform to statutory changes from HB 1663 (2022), the home ed freedom bill.
The approved version of Ed 315 is available here and will be considered by the state Board of Education at their September 14 meeting. If adopted, as expected, it goes into effect on September 15.
