How to Testify in 2021

Due to ongoing Covid protocols, the NH House and Senate will conduct hybrid hearings and executive sessions for legislators and the public may participate virtually utilizing new guidelines.

To follow a bill and learn when a hearing or exec session is scheduled, check the NH House and Senate calendars that are usually updated on Thursday evenings, or follow the bill’s docket for updates. That information will allow you to register to testify or indicate your support or opposition on the bill.

You can find your own state legislators using this search tool on the NH General Court website.

NH House Guidance for Remote Committee Meetings

To testify on a bill or register in support or opposition, you must use this link on the NH General Court website. It is specific for hearings in the House. You must register at least 30 minutes ahead of the hearing for the committee to receive notification, but we recommend doing so at least two hours ahead if possible.

Each committee has a group email that may be used to submit written testimony; be sure to indicate if you want your remarks to be included in the bill’s permanent record.

If you wish to observe a hearing without testifying, watch the NH House’s YouTube channel.

The following committees’ pages and group emails are provided as an easy reference for our members’ use.
