Educational Alternatives

Education is not a one-size-fits-all proposition and finding the right place can make all the difference for a child. Here is a handy page to find charter and private schools, and major homeschool resources in the Granite State. There are even more informal homeschool support groups on social media. The Network for Educational Opportunity (NEO) can also help put these options within reach for families of modest means. Their scholarship applications open each year on January 1st. Refer to their website for more information.

Note that students can transfer in/out of these options during the school year. Inquire with the school of interest to learn about availability and their transfer process.

If you wish to start a home education program, notify your child’s school within five days of withdrawing. There is also a one-time only notification required to the Participating Agency of your choice. For more information, read Homeschool Notification — How to get Started and Homeschooling — Where to Begin.

Please let us know if we can help find that right educational fit for your family.
