The entire NH House of Representatives will vote on the ESA bill, SB 193, on Wednesday, May 2nd . Session starts at 10am. We want to show the legislature the bill’s wide support as they head into this critical vote.
The State House is at 107 N Main Street, the shiny gold dome that dominates the downtown skyline. There is on-street parking and a parking garage nearby; refer to this link. The public viewing gallery is on the third floor.

Note that although signs are not allowed in the gallery, we encourage you to arrive early with signs such as “Support Children, Support ESAs,” “Support Educational Opportunities for All – Vote YES on SB 193,” and so on. Meet us on the second floor to greet the state reps as they enter Rep Hall as early as 9:00am. Definitely wear your National School Choice Week yellow scarf! If you don’t have one, we’ll be distributing them on the second floor.
Even if you’re unable to attend, please be sure to email your state reps urging them to support SB 193, the ESA bill. It is super-critical that they hear from you! This is the final vote!

Children have one chance at their K-12 education and all students, regardless of their zip codes and income levels, deserve the opportunity for an education that fits their unique needs and goals. As a state, we have an obligation to support children, not only one potential provider of their education. Each child’s education and future matters.
New Hampshire has the opportunity to put more options within reach for low-income children with Senate Bill 193, the Education Savings Account (ESA) bill. ESAs are funds that children receive to a designated account that are used for specified educational purposes. Approved uses may include textbooks, online classes, tutoring, testing, AP classes, dual-enrollment courses, private school tuition, homeschool expenses, and other education-related fees. ESAs will benefit the most vulnerable in our communities who otherwise cannot access options. Even if the pilot ESA program can only help a few hundred children, it still makes a big impact on their individual lives.
